Frequently asked.

Short answers to the questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, your Datapath account team is one click away.

The Basics

  • Vision is your single window into the IT services Datapath manages for you. Every vendor, every metric, every alert — pulled into one place and updated automatically.

It also includes an AI assistant trained on your environment, so you can ask plain-language questions instead of digging through five dashboards.

  • It pulls data from every vendor in your stack — Security, Mobility, Cloud, IT Management — and puts it where you can see it.

You stop chasing dashboards. You stop emailing for status updates. You ask Vision.

  • Datapath clients. If we manage part of your IT environment, Vision is included.

IT directors use it for daily visibility. Executives use it for the rollup. Engineers use it to skip the digging.

  • No. Vision runs in the browser. Sign in with your work account and you're in.

  • Vision is included with your Datapath managed service agreement. No separate license. No per-seat fees.

Data & Security

  • We connect to each vendor's API on your behalf. ETL pipelines run on a schedule, normalize what we pull, and load it into your data warehouse.

Nothing for you to configure. No agents to install.

  • Most metrics refresh hourly. Some — alerts, incidents — refresh in near real-time. Usage rollups and billing refresh daily.

Every tile shows when it last updated. No guessing.

  • Yes. Your data lives in an isolated backend that the public web can't reach directly. Authentication runs through Wristband SSO. Every API call carries a token we validate on every request.

You can't see another client's data. They can't see yours.

  • We handle it. ETL maintenance is part of the managed service. Your dashboards keep working.

Using Vision

  • Yes. Vision includes a custom LLM trained on your data warehouse. Ask things like "Which sites had the most security incidents last quarter?" or "Show me mobile devices that haven't checked in this week" — and get answers grounded in your actual data.

  • No. The model only answers from your data warehouse. If it doesn't know, it says so.

Every answer links back to the source records so you can verify it for yourself.

  • You decide. Vision uses groups and roles. Groups represent tenants in your organization. Roles control what each user can do — view, edit, admin.

Hide features your team doesn't need. Show the ones they do.

  • Revoke their access in Vision. Their session ends on the next request.

No data walks out the door — Vision doesn't store anything locally on devices.

  • The web app works on any modern mobile browser. A native app isn't on the roadmap yet — most workflows are easier on a full screen.

Support

  • Use the chat icon in the bottom right to reach Datapath support directly. Or email your account team — they're in the header dropdown.

  • Please. Vision is built around what our clients actually need. Send the idea to your account team or drop it in the in-app feedback form.
